I paint with watercolors, acrylics and encaustics. I am delighted by color, light, shape, texture and exploring the edge of abstraction. I am a calligrapher so I have a special interest in brush marks and other mark making.
I am inspired by nature’s beauty and design, from the largest panorama of beaches and mountains to the smallest flower. I am inspired by music and musicians. I am inspired by my students and what they love to learn and create.
I live in east Tennessee, where there is so much natural beauty and light right outside my window. I love the process of learning about art and evolving with it. I hope you’ll join me on my journey.
